Must Love Dogs

I’ve probably stayed in over 180 Airbnb  homes on my adventures and it can be a bit hit or miss unless you carefully read the information the host posts or choose not to read the reviews. 

Earlier this week I stayed in a house where the point of Airbnb hosting was totally missed to the point of misinformation and setting up a false expectation. 

Unlike the past  two days,  which couldn’t have been a more positive experience.  I was made to feel instantly at home and very much welcomed. 

Cathy and Kate have a beautiful house within easy walking distance of Kilkenny City. 

The rooms are unique and  beautifully furnished with carefully chosen much loved antiques.

Cathy and her niece are dog rescuers and currently have eight so it helps if their guests like dogs. My dear  friend SallyAnn also rescues dogs so I do like them and admire people who give frightened, mistreated animals a secure and loving home.

 

This was a wonderful Airbnb experience and a great example of what it could and should be and how much it can positively enrich one’s experience of the journey.
